Monthly Meeting with Amanda Bushon at Mauldin Cultural Center

Amanda Bushon will be our guest speaker and will be talking about the Muskellunge Population of the Upper French Broad River.

Amanda Bushon is a Fisheries Biologist for the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC). Amanda earned her B.S. in Biology from Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia and then earned her M.S. in Biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She has been a sportfish biologist with the NCWRC since 2007 covering the western twelve counites. During the past six years, she has been working on a project focused on evaluating the population characteristics of the upper French Broad River Muskellunge population with NCWRC colleague Scott Loftis and Dr. Derek Crane from Coastal Carolina University.
