First introduction to Fly Fishing was June 2023 at Flaming Gorge on the Green River at Dutch John, Utah during my 1st Big Epic Trip out west to see National Parks. Second river I fished ws the Snake River in Jackson WY and by then I was “Hooked.” Came home to Greer and found myself a guide service to start training me in fly fishing. In October I got the itch to take another Big Epic Trip, but this time for fishing out west. I realized that a trip to go fishing would not be much fun if I did not know how to fish. As an educator, I thought the best way for me to learn, because I’m a viusal learner, was to create for myself an instructor/coach, develop a curriculum and create my own school. So I went about that and trained with my coach for 6 months. Having complete this much training, and there is a lot more to go, I now know enough to get myself in “trouble.” The journey is the real story, not the fishing.
